For the fifth day of our Great Christmas Giveaway, the Cambrian News is offering you the chance to win a fantastic six or seven-foot real Christmas tree from Ystrad Nurseries.

The prize is for a Nordman Fir Christmas tree, which will fill your home with the festive aroma only a real Christmas tree can bring.

The Nordman Fir has the classic Christmas tree shape, with long, soft, dark green needles. It is widely regarded as a ‘low drop’ tree because of its excellent needle-holding properties.

The nursery, which is located on the A40 between Llandovery and Llanwrda, now has over 200 fresh-cut Christmas trees in stock.

Prices start from £15 and, as a thank you, you get a complimentary tea or coffee when choosing your perfect tree.

There are also Christmas wreaths in stock along with a range of Christmas gifts, including cute reindeer and penguins.

The nursery has a coffee shop, which serves homemade soups, sandwiches, paninis, quiche, pies and cakes – including delicious mince pies – and drinks, including great hot chocolate for this wintry weather.

There is a gift shop stocking Joma jewellery and Katie Loxton handmade candles, a variety of Welsh and English gift cards and wrapping paper.

And there are lots of Christmas gifts for all price ranges, including outdoor and indoor candles, furniture, mirrors, and plant stands.

The nursery boasts plants, shrubs, flowers, fruit trees and ornamental trees, seeds and bulbs, pots and planters, decorative stone and compost.

And there are logs and coal, fuel tanks, garden furniture, posts, gates, fencing, drainage pipe and hardware.

Don’t miss the chance to meet the resident alpacas, Moonshine, Bravo and Button.

Owner John Morgan and his fiancée Laura Sherman have also, in the last few weeks, brought the Post Office back to the main street in Llandovery.
