So the destruction of Aberaeron as the community hub of the area continues apace. Council leaders are seemingly intent on the complete demise of Aberaeron as a community.

Most houses sold in Aberaeron are now used as holiday lets (56, I was told, with a further eight soon to follow).

It is virtually impossible for locals and the wider community to use the shops due to the lack of parking spaces, ironic considering we live in a rural area where the need for cars is greater.

It appears that the greater powers given due to the Covid pandemic are being used to push through these “temporary changes” by then making them permanent - on Thursday, 15April, contractors were in Market Street putting drainage into these ridiculous pavements, indicating a possibly permanent fixture.

Come the end of October will the last person to leave Aberaeron please turn off the lights.
