Madam,

As a former county councillor for a period of 25 years standing as a Independent I have experience of many elections at all levels. Every election is and has always been the platform for candidates to discuss their policies and views in an honest and democratic way with the electorate, and long it may last in this way.

What we all need are representatives on our behalf that act in an honest and open way for our well-being and future.

There are many ways of doing this that convey the integrity of the candidates and their political parties. To me the publication and distribu-tion of the ‘Ceredigion Chronicle’ is a devious attempt to deceive us the electorate into thinking that it is an honest unbiased news publication and not the ‘political party propaganda’ that it is.

I feel an obligation to point this out, but I hope and believe that the electorate of Mid Wales are not naive enough to base their vote and future on such a deceitful publication by a political party.

Yours etc
