MINDFUL residents have celebrated an initiative which fights for workers across the world to be paid a justified wage.
A Fair Trade coffee morning was held in the Free Library, Dolgellau on Thursday, 8 March to coincide with Fairtrade Fortnight, a national event held annually to celebrate the difference that Fair Trade makes to the lives of some of the poorest people in the world.
Angela Roe, organiser of the event, said: “We were very pleased with the number of people who came, and hope to use the event as a springboard to re-establish a Group to promote Fair Trade in Dolgellau and the surrounding area.
“We also wish to thank Fair Trade Wales, Dolgellau Co-op and Cytun Dolgellau for their support.”
