A GROUP of friends from Llanybydder have raised an astonishing £26,000 for two charities after a fund-raising drive which culminated in a 700-mile cycle ride from John o’Groats to their home village.

Ar Dy Feic – a series of fund-raising events – managed to raise £13,080.21 for both Parkinson’s UK and Cancer Research Wales. “It was both an amazing effort and a fantastic achievement,” said a spokesperson for Cancer Research UK.
