GOLFERS in Aberdyfi have raised over £1,000 for the Wales Air Ambulance.

Aberdyfi Golf Club’s captains for 2016 – Georgina Hatt and Gwyn Williams – presented a cheque for £1,365 to staff at the Wales Air Ambulance charity shop in Tywyn.

Georgina said: “Each year at Aberdyfi Golf Club the incoming men’s and ladies’ captains choose a charity to raise funds for throughout the year. Last year, both Gwyn and I chose the Wales Air Ambulance and we are thrilled that with our various fundraising events we have been able to present this cheque today. I’d like to thank all our members and visitors at Aberdyfi Golf Club for giving so generously and supporting this great cause.”
