Having read Mandy Williams’ comments in Patrick Hollis’ article in 1 July edition of the Cambrian News – “Nothing for children to do in town” I felt compelled to check the skate park in Blaenau Ffestiniog myself.

There is nothing wrong with the condition of the skateboard facilities, other than graffiti, which is mostly fairly innocuous.The steel work is sound and will be for a number of years to come.I fully expect to see children enjoying the skate park for many years to come, and making an awful lot of noise. No problem.

But I can understand Ms Williams’ genuine concerns about the lack of things for youngsters to do.
