In reference to Simon Brooks’ letter (Quentin reveals much when he lectures on Owain Glyndwr), I would like to state that Quentin Deakin does not speak for, or represent the views of the membership of the Dwyfor Meirionnydd Constituency Labour Party on this matter.

Our group does not concern itself with “anti-Welsh drivel”, in fact quite the opposite is true.

We have a broad and diverse membership with a mixture of Welsh and English speakers and, as a group, we are a collective of many different viewpoints.

At the heart of our philosophy though is a socialist consensus, a desire to ensure that public services and livelihoods in our area of Wales are not just protected, but improved for everyone’s benefit. We will continue to fight in any way we can to ensure that this happens.
