CEREDIGION has recorded 19 new cases of Covid-19 according to the latest figures released by Public Health Wales.

698 new cases have been recorded across Wales today, but no new deaths have been reported.

Today’s figures cover a 24 hour period from 9am Thursday to 9am on Friday.

Along with the 19 new cases of the virus recorded in Ceredigion, Powys recorded 46 new cases.

Elsewhere, Gwynedd recorded 18 new cases with Carmarthenshire recording 13 cases and Pembrokeshire, seven.

The Welsh Government has announced that face masks will continue to be required in certain settings such as public transport, taxis and health and social care, as a minimum, while coronavirus remains a public health threat.

But consideration is being given to whether restrictions should be relaxed in retail and other sectors as Wales moves to Alert Level zero.

The Welsh government’s next 21-day review of the coronavirus regulations is due to take place on Wednesday this week.
