AN appeal has gone out to blood donors in the Lampeter area.
There is as little as one day’s supply of some blood types available in Wales at the moment and the Welsh Blood Service is appealing to people in the Lampeter area to attend a donation clinic being held in the town on Tuesday, 18 January.
Uptake for the clinic is fairly low at present with only 38 of the 130 available appointments currently booked.
A spokesperson for the Welsh Blood Service said: “During these times of Covid we are getting lots of cancellations at clinics.
“This is making it difficult for us to supply our 20 Welsh hospitals.
“Stocks are lower than we’d like.”
