THREE local healthcare professionals received Bangor University recognition at a presentation held at The Oriel, St Asaph.

Senior physiotherapy assistant Rachel Williams, generic worker Lynn Roberts and healthcare support worker Vicky Lewis all received certificates in recognition of their studies in working with people with dementia.

The course, which was run in conjunction with Agored Cymru, the NHS and Bangor University, is aimed at improving the understanding of dementia within the NHS, with the aim to make any patients with the condition feel more comfortable in the hospital environment, and aid recovery and reduce time spent in hospital, which can be a confusing time for sufferers.
