Coronavirus cases in Gwynedd continue to grow, with the county recording the second highest daily total for all of Wales today.

187 new cases have been recorded today in Gwynedd, according to the latest data, second only to Cardiff, which recorded 205 new cases.

The rate of infection in Gwynedd is currently the highest in Wales, standing at 870.3 cases per 100,000 population, with the rate nationwide standing at 471.8.

2,067 new cases have been recorded across Wales today with 22 new cases in Ceredigion, which currently has the lowest rate of infection in Wales, standing at 224.2 cases per 100,000.

Elsewhere, Powys has recorded 69 new cases today, with 107 in Carmarthenshire and 80 in Pembrokeshire.

Seven deaths have been recorded across Wales today, taking the total number of Covid-19 fatalities in the country to 6,412.

Four of those seven deaths have been in the Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board region of north Wales, with its total now standing at 1,102.

No new deaths have been recorded in the Hywel Dda Health Board region of Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, with its total remaining at 611.

Powys has also recorded no new deaths, with its total staying at 83.
