LLANIDLOES Rotary Club recently organised a defibrillator awareness day.

The club took on many ventures in 2016 ensuring a defibrillator could be funded and installed on the wall of the town’s old post office.

The training was attended by a variety of ages from the community who were taught cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and how to utilise the defibrillator to enhance the chances of saving lives.

The day was organised in conjunction with Woosnam and Davies newsagents and supported by the expertise of Llanidloes St John, the Fire Service, Wales Air Ambulance and Community Heart Beat Trust.

Keith Foster of Powys Safety Solution has been instrumental in the defibrillator project from the start and proves what can achieved when the community organisations join forces.
