WANNABE pop stars had their chance to shine last week when auditions for hit TV show The X Factor came to town.

Auditions for would-be Rihannas and Ed Sheerans were held at the MORLAN Centre in Aberystwyth and the Glan-y-Môr holiday park at Clarach.

Those who impressed the judges will now have to progress through a number of different stages before they get to appear on stage in front of the TV cameras and celebrity judges including Simon Cowell.
