Madam,

I have been living on North Road in Aberystwyth for the last two months and would like to say what a waste of public money the maze is.

I have not seen one child playing there, only people walking their dogs and allowing them to foul there. How was this ever approved?

The council should have spoken to the residents of North Road before proceeding with such a project. This area would make a lovely play park or football/rugby pitch.

It’s a disgrace that the council can spend £8,000 on a few wooden fence poles and rope but no money can be found to reopen the paddling pool which would be used by hundreds of children over the summer holidays.

The council really need to think about how they are using public money to best benefit the majority of Aberystwyth residents.
