I’ve experienced severe anxiety all my adult life. With the advent of Covid, depression/anxiety have apparently shown a dramatic increase. My conclusion after many years is that it is something that just has to be dealt with by the individual concerned.
Now I’m retired and I’ve taken my anxiety into retirement with me. As I see it, mental health has always seemed to be the poor relation in the NHS and will probably remain so.
Obviously, in the past, this was not helped by the stigma that surrounded it. Remember, a bit of anxiety or depression is no more of a stigma than a cold or the flu.
