MARK Williams MP has praised the work of Hospice At Home Aberystwyth, a new volunteer led charity offering community-based end-of-life care to patients.
Mr Williams visited the charity on Saturday along with Leader of the Welsh Lib Dems Kirsty Williams, Lib Dem health spokesperson Norman Lamb MP, William Powell AM and Assembly Candidate for Ceredigion Elizabeth Evans, where they spoke with volunteers about the services that they provide as a charity.
Mr Williams said “Delivering palliative care in rural communities can be difficult, and there is much need for a flexible service to provide it at home. Despite having only been recently set up, they have already begun to provide a quality service which understands the needs of our area and helps families access information, support, therapies and activities.
“I would like to praise the hard work of all of the volunteers at Hospice At Home and wish the charity many years of success.”
