Madam,
I cannot think of any march in my lifetime which is more important, anywhere in the world, than the one that will take place at Aberystwyth on Saturday, 16 September.
It is important to everybody who has an interest in the past and present at Bodlendeb residential care home, or any of the other homes in the public sector in Ceredigion since 1965.
If you were employed at Bodlondeb; visited the home as doctors, nurses, with the ambulance service, fire service, for the Police, with Friends of Bodlondeb, Social Services; as a visitor, either family member or friend; have carried out maintenance there; are from a church or chapel; have been an entertainer, then please take part in the march. Make your way to Aberystwyth, by bus, bike, car, other vehicle, van, tractor etc. Or walk. If you have a band, join us, bring your whistles, bright clothing. We need to all stand together.
Take part in the consultation; sign the petition. Stand together so that the Welsh Assembly Government, Ceredigion county councillors and Westminster ring-fences finances for all homes in Ceredigion and throughout our country and sustains all aspects of social service for now and in the future.
I cannot thank the Cambrian News enough for the publicity they have given us on such an important aspect, to provide for those in need. It is for now and the future.
Yours etc,
Dai ‘Dogs’ Thomas, Llwyn yr Eos, Penparcau, Aberystwyth.
