Madam,

As a regular visitor to Dolgellau I wasn’t at all surprised to find that, after a council consultation, the central bus terminal remains in Eldon Square. There appears to be no other sensible option.

As with many other areas in the country, public transport should get priority over private cars.

It is also disappointing to read in the Cambrian News about the prospective closure of the Dolgellau NatWest bank in May 2018, on top of the closure already in Tywyn and Barmouth. However a mobile bank (which I have used before in Tywyn) is better than nothing!

Yours etc,

Dr Timothy Grout, Cherry Hinton Road, Cambridge.
