I am not surprised that the town council “raised concerns” over the renovation plans for Old College, Aberystwyth.

I can understand what the college wants to achieve, but why,oh why, is the design so badly out of keeping with the Old College itself?

A slight curvature in the right place, or places, a more sympathetic colour, and a sloping roof, could all reduce the distress that this design engenders.
