Runners are getting on their marks for the Cambrian News Aberystwyth 10k Race Week - and over 180 runners have so far signed up to take part.

From this Tuesday, 1 December, entrants have one week to run their chosen 10k route and upload their result - and you can still sign up to take part.

Everyone who enters will receive an email explaining how to enter their results, along with final race instructions - and these can also be found on the 10k webpage at https://aberystwythac.wordpress.com/aber-10k/

The page also shows the usual 10k route which you can use if you’re local.

A spokesperson for Aberystwyth Athletics Club, which organises the race, said: "One of the reasons for spreading the virtual race out over a week was to avoid having too many people using the route at the same time, with over 180 entries so far!
