A POTENTIAL £1million has been lost to Meirionnydd’s economy after a music festival was cancelled.
The Snowdonia Outdoor Festival, due to come to the banks of Llyn Tegid this August, was set to attract 10,000 peoplt to Bala and inject a huge sum of money into the area.
However, due to poor ticket sales, the festival has now been cancelled.
The festival was set to feature headliners Scouting for Girls, Toploader and The Lightening Seeds alongside a vast array of outdoor events and activities.
The announcement was made by organisers Brand Events last Friday (23 June).
A spokesperson for the firm said: “It is with great disappointment that Brand Events announces the cancellation of the Snowdonia Outdoor Festival. The Festival had been planned to take place on Gwernhefin Farm from 11-13 August."
