Madam,

Last weekend I was enjoying the late winter sunshine by walking along Aberystwyth promenade, until I reached the children’s paddling pool, which looks like a derelict building site.

It is not my intention to tread on anyone’s toes regarding this matter, but the state of disrepair was highlighted in the Cambrian News on 21 June last year, when it was reported that the paddling pool would be closed indefinitely until the amount of £60,000 was raised to restore it to its functional condition.

I call on the council to let the electorate know what action has been taken to rectify the situation and how long it will take to complete.
