Cambrian News reporter Patrick Hollis has decided to take on the Movember challenge, promising to grow a spectacular moustache to raise money for charity.

Every November, the month-long fundraising event sees men across the country ditching the razor to grow a marvellous moustache for a very good cause.

The money raised will be used to fund mental health, suicide prevention and prostate and testicular cancer projects.

Explaining why he wanted to take part, our very own Patrick said: “I’ve decided to take part in Movember this year because I have always considered it to be a different way to raise money and awareness about serious issues. It is a great idea and an opportunity to help out important causes.

“This is the first time I have taken part in Movember but it is something I have been aware of for some time. The charity is fantastic and encourages lots of other ways people can raise money.

“The website has suggestions of what kind of moustache you can grow, so it helps to encourage a bit of creativity and it gives the chance for guys to try growing a style which they would never think of.”

Will you be taking part in this year’s Movember challegen like 23-year-old Patrick?
