A GREAT British Pottery Throw Down contestant has spoken about her time on the hit TV show.
Jane Williams, 40, of Dyffryn Ardudwy, has charmed the nation on the new BBC pottery programme presented by DJ Sara Cox.
The mother of two thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the popular show, which attracts more than a million viewers.
“It was an amazing experience being a contestant on the Great British Pottery Throw Down,” she told the Cambrian News.
“Responding to the project briefs and the spot tests really tested me as a maker and introduced me to some technical processes that I had never tried, it was almost like a very stressful mini college course.
“Taking part on the programme clarified for me where my pottery strengths and weaknesses lie. I had a laugh with the fellow contestants and crew and I have made some friends for life.”
Jane began her affinity with clay whilst studying for her degree and has worked with the material ever since.
“I love it, it’s malleable, mouldable and addictive,” the farmer’s daughter continued.
