CEREDIGION Actif, in partnership with Sport Wales, has distributed £14,214 to local sports clubs through the Community Chest Panel.

The clubs to benefit were: Aberystwyth Ramblers, Llandysul Swimming Club, Camddwr Shooting Society, Kung Fu Club Aberaeron, Cardigan Town FC, Crannog FC, Aberaeron Netball Club, Rhydypennau Hall, Ceredigion YFC, Felinfach FC, Tregaron Turfs FC, Aberystwyth Athletics Club and Aberkayakers. They will use the money to purchase equipment, train new coaches and create new clubs.

Steven Jones, Active Communities manager from Ceredigion Actif, said: “We are proud to be able to support local sports clubs as they enhance the health and wellbeing of residents in the county. The scheme is open to any group that wishes to organise activities aimed at getting people active.”
