A VERY successful and enjoyable appeal organised by Year 12 pupils at Llanidloes High School raised £1,010.48 for Children in Need.

Among the many money-spinning events were teacher karaoke, a teacher quiz and fancy dress.

Head of the sixth form, Mrs Jerman, said: “We were very impressed by the efforts of the Year 12 pupils in fund-raising for Children in Need as part of their Welsh Baccalaureate.

“We would also like to thank the lower school pupils who gave their money generously, and staff who took part in the activities also.

“This is always an enjoyable part of the school year for our pupils.”
