Madam,

It was with great sadness that I read in the Cambrian News of the resignation of Dr Julian Evans as trustee of New Quay Football Club (Resignation tendered’, Letters pages, 13 July).

During the many years that I spent in New Quay I found Dr Evans to be a good listener and adviser when dealing with New Quay Football Club.

I would personally like to thank him for his help and guidance and I wish him good health and happiness in his future years.
