Daily road closures as part of the safe zones scheme have been suspended in Aberystwyth and New Quay, the council said.
The safe zones were reintroduced by Ceredigion County Council for the Easter holiday period after they were lifted during lockdown.
But they have been suspended again “for the time being” in two towns on Saturday.
A spokesperson for Ceredigion council said: “The safe zones were reintroduced for the Easter holiday period in response to the influx of people who would be visiting the towns. The daily road closures at Aberystwyth and New Quay have now ended for the time being.
“Ceredigion council is currently reviewing the situation, including how the last three weeks have gone, the future national relaxation measures, and the numbers who will be travelling in and around the county.
“Consideration will also be given as to whether closures are necessary for Saturdays and/or the bank holiday weekends in May, and a decision will be reached soon.”
