SANTA Claus is busy touring north Ceredigion in the run-up to Christmas.

Jolly Saint Nicholas has already travelled to Aberystwyth, Penparcau and Penrhyncoch, but is only halfway through his tour.

He will resume his tour on Thursday evening, handing out presents and greeting children in Waunfawr, Llanbadarn Fawr and Capel Bangor.

On Saturday, Father Christmas will be in BOrth and Sunday, he travels to Tre’r Ddol, Talybont and Llandre.

On Tuesday, Santa, with the help of the team at Light ‘em Up will visit Bow Street and Clarach, before finishing his tour on Thursday, 23 December by visiting Rhydyfelin, Llanilar, Blaenplwyf, Llanrhystyd Llanon

The tour will be slightly different to the one that proved so popular last year, organiser, Joe Wilcox from Light ‘Em Up, says.

Joe said: “We won’t be going along every street of these areas, we will be going to either one or two locations in the bigger villages, a map will be posted of the locations we will be visiting on the afternoon before we visit. We therefore ask that social distancing is practiced “where possible.

Santa and the elves are extremely excited to see you all and start off Christmas 2021 with some excitement!”

The tour will be raising money for two charities.

Local charity Mental Health Monster will be receiving 50 per cent of the donations with the other 50 per cent being split between Glangwilli Special Care Baby Unit and Singleton Neonatal Intensive Care unit.

Joe added: “The above two units mean a lot to me and my family as both units have been a big part of our lives this year, as my son Albi was born extremely premature and needed special care to get where he is today, and might I say- he’s doing amazing thanks to them!”
