PWLLHELI Rotary Club is set to bring some festive cheer to the Llyn Peninsula next week.

The ongoing challenges of coronavirus mean there will be some changes to the club’s Santa float this year, but Father Christmas is set to make an appearance from Monday.

He will start the journey on his float in Llanbedrog at 5.30pm.

After that, he will visit towns and villages across Pen Llyn between 1 and 18 December.

Club president Philip Horwood said: “We are delighted that the Santa Float will make an appearance this year and bring some festive cheer during a difficult time for everyone.

“We have had to make some changes to this year’s event. We are following strict guidelines in an effort to keep everyone safe, not only Covid safe but road safe as well.

“Unfortunately, Santa will not be able to talk to any of the youngsters as he will have to be distanced on the float itself, but he will be able to be seen from people’s front windows and doorways as the float will be driving slowly through each village.”
