A second Kill the Bill protest was held in Aberystwyth today (Saturday).
Ceredigion Against The Policing Bill organised this, a second Kill the Bill protest, which took place this afternoon, Saturday, 17 April, as part of the second National Day of Action.
Hundreds of protesters again marched through the town and into the castle grounds, where various speakers discussed their concerns pertaining to The Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said ahead of the event: “We are aware of a planned Ceredigion Against the Policing Bill protest march in Aberystwyth this Saturday. Constructive prior engagement is taking place between the organisers and the local Neighbourhood Policing Team.
“A previous peaceful protest passed without any local tensions or disorder and we anticipate the same again for this weekend.”
