A POPULAR pub landlord hanged himself in his own bar in Chwilog, an inquest has heard.
Gary Horseman was found dead at the Madryn Arms pub on the morning of Friday, 5 February.
His death shocked the community as Mr Horseman was well-known in the area for running the former Harbour Hotel in Abersoch in the late 90s through until 2010. He then moved on to run the former Sandpiper pub in the village before moving on to Chwilog.
An inquest in Caernarfon revealed Pc Richard Greaves found Mr Horseman hanging in the pub around 8am.
Coroner Dewi Pritchard-Jones said he was confident that Mr Horseman had died from his own actions and recorded a verdict of suicide.
