Madam,

I was very sad to hear the result of the 2017 general election and to learn that Mark Williams, Liberal Democrat MP for Ceredigion from 2005 to 2017, has lost to Ben Lake of Plaid Cymru by just over 100 votes.

Mark became MP for Ceredigion in 2005 and he served the people really well up to his shock defeat on 8 June.

I think Mark will be remembered warmly for everything he has done for the people of Ceredigion in his 12 years as MP. Thank you Mark for working really hard for Ceredigion. I will keep fond memories.
