Madam,

Following the devastation caused to our property by the extreme weather on Thursday night last, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the employees of Scottish Power who came to our rescue. Their speedy response to our plight, their professionalism and pleasant attitude, shown in very difficult conditions, was second to none.

Energy suppliers come in for much criticism, maybe deservedly so on occasions, but equally deserve credit and gratitude in cases of emergency, experienced by so many in the Dyffryn and Talybont area on Friday.
