Madam,
I was very moved to see the D-Day remembrance services in Normandy on my TV, today, 6 June. This year marks 75 years since the D-Day liberation of France on this day in 1944.
It’s important that, as a United Kingdom, we remember the huge sacrifice and effort that was made on 6 June 1944 and on until the Second World War was won in 1945.
We must remember 75 years ago Britain was in a massive struggle to defeat the Nazis and today, on 6 June, it’s important to pause and reflect and to be thankful and grateful to those brave people who gave their lives and everything they had so that there would be peace and freedom in Europe.
Thank you for your courage and sacrifice. You are heroes and we will forever remember what you did.
Yours etc, Jamie Davies, Maes y Felin, Lampeter.
