Madam,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the committee members, and fellow supporters of Aberystwyth and district Floral Society for all their support during this last year, as the society celebrated its 50th anniversary.

The society is a very welcoming society that meets on the third Tuesday of every month in Llanfarian village hall at 7.30pm, for an entertaining evening of floral art by NAFAS-trained demonstrators and workshops.

A warm welcome always awaits members and visitors. Our flower festival in Llanbadarn Fawr church in June was a great success and that was thanks to the support of local businesses and all visitors who allowed us to give out donations totalling £600. Our open evening in Penweddig School in November by Daphne Furneaux of Swansea was also a fabulous success and our long-awaited visit from Kevin Davies (former Aberystwyth florist) was greatly supported.

Thanks to all who provided the items fore the buffet and again this year our lucky numbers draw was a success.Merry Christmas and a happy new year from myself and all the committee members and we look forward to welcoming existing and new members/visitors to join us in January 2016.
