Madam,

I can understand the public reaction to the ugly barrier at Barmouth Harbour (‘New barrier a blot on beautiful harbour’). The harbour has managed for half a century without this monstrosity. It stands out like a sore thumb.

Wouldn’t it be nice if the county council spent public money on more needed extras. For instance, Barmouth Bridge is loved all over the world yet is falling into disrepair. Has the council decided to abandon this? It is an iconic feature of Barmouth, yet seems to have sadly been forgotten.
