THE ANNUAL trotting races at Rhydyfelin will be broadcast live on Facebook tomorrow.

All the races from the Ceredigion Trotting Club Races Festival at Rhydyfelin, Aberystwyth on Sunday, 2 July, and the Tregaron Festival of Harness Racing on Saturday, 26 August will be webcast live on s4c.cymru and S4C Facebook Live.

S4C will also broadcast a special one-hour edition of Rasus on Bank Holiday Monday, 28 August, providing highlights of both race meetings and a look back at the whole harness racing season in Wales.

Sue Butler, S4C sport content commissioner, said: "This is an exciting new service for harness racing followers and I am sure it will prove popular with trotting enthusiasts throughout the UK.

"Webcasting live sport is a service we are providing more and more and we are delighted to offer it for two of the UK’s top harness racing meetings."

The coverage will be produced by Slam Media. The commentary, which will be on the races only, will be available in Welsh and English at s4c.cymru and in Welsh only at S4C Facebook Live.
