Two people have been taken to hospital following a crash on the A470.

Emergency services attended the scene near Ganllwyd yesterday evening (Tuesday).

A Welsh Ambulance spokesperson said: “We were called at approximately 5.12pm to reports of a road traffic accident involving a single motorcycle near Ganllwyd.

“We responded with two emergency ambulances and our crews were supported by the Wales Air Ambulance.

“One patient was transported by air ambulance to the Royal Stoke Hospital and a second by road ambulance to Ysbyty Gwynedd Hospital.”

A spokesperson for the Wales Air Ambulance said: “We arrived at 6.37pm. Following treatment from our on-board consultant and critical care practitioner, we airlifted a patient to the Royal Stoke University Hospital, leaving the scene at 7.13pm and arriving in Stoke at 7.46pm.”
