Cytun Waunfawr Churches Together

ON the last Sunday in October, Cytun Waunfawr had the pleasure of welcoming members of Bethel Chapel, Aberystwyth, to the monthly service in Waunfawr community hall.

The preacher was Rev Hywel Jones (St Padarn’s Church) and his theme focussed on the only leper of the 10 Jesus healed who returned to give thanks.

The theme was especially appreciated because it provided the opportunity for Bethel to celebrate Harvest Thanksgiving.

St Luke 17, 11-19 was read by Dafydd Morgan-Evans (Cytun) and the harvest hymns were accompanied by Hilary Davies (Bethel).

This was the last service arranged by Cytun Waunfawr before the AGM to be held on Friday, 13 November, starting at 10.30am in the community hall.

It is hoped that many friends and well-wishers in Waunfawr and local chapels and churches will come along to this meeting because a new future for Cytun Waunfawr is envisaged.

The 2015 programme continues with a service led by St Michael’s on Sunday, 29 November and Sunday, 13 December Prof John Harvey (Holy Trinity) will be giving an illustrated talk on the painting of the Christmas story, followed by time to enjoy carols and seasonal refreshments.

Cytun Waunfawr extends a warm invitation to everyone interested to come to this event.
