Madam,

May I refer to the letter from Neil Fairlamb printed in your letters page of the Cambrian News, 24 March - ‘Could hospital be used for respite and hospice care‘. Mr Fairlamb whilst replying to Mrs McIntyre, made reference to the possibility for private sector involvement in development of the hospital in Blaenau Ffestiniog. Could Mr Fairlamb please tell the electorate whether the Tory Party would bring the private sector into certain areas of the NHS? This is a very important issue and needs a truthful answer; we all know that the NHS is being privatised through the back door in England encouraged by the Conservative Party, but this practice would not be welcome in Wales. Mr Fairlamb has previously mentioned that “we need a good debate”. How right Mr Fairlamb is, a good debate is crucial in order for the truth to come out.
