Madam,

At the public meeting on the future of Bodlondeb residential care home, held at Llwyn-Yr-Eos school Penparcau, we were told that there would be a consultation from 3 July until 25 September.

Twelve months ago there was a referendum as to whether Britain should stay in or out of the European Union, and the public decided. We must now have a referendum in Ceredigion, where we, the public, can decide whether Bodlondob stays open or closes.

On page three of the consultation document, Ceredigion County Council says: “We are committed to providing the best possible care and services for older people in Ceredigion, now and in the future.” How will closing Bodlondeb achieve this?

Yours etc,

D A Thomas, Llwyn-Yr-Eos, Southgate, Aberystwyth.
