CYCLE fanatics can enjoy a day on the trails and a talk by a world-class mountain biker this weekend.

Running on Saturday 23 September, Discover Dyfi is a day of mountain bike activities hosted by the community of Dinas Mawddwy to give people heading over for Red Bull Hardline a full weekend of fun.

Keen riders can enjoy a way-marked 30km route through the eastern edges of the legendary Dyfi forest.

While the riders are on the hill, the village hall will transform into a cinema showing adventure films with refreshments available too.

A spokesperson for the event was keen to involve as many people as possible: “No event is complete without a guest speaker, and we are delighted to welcome local legend and mastermind of Red Bull Hardline, Dan Atherton.

“Dan will discuss his visionary tracks and unique style that have done so much do progress downhill mountain biking.

“The bar will remain open and a live band will follow for anyone with the energy left to dance!”
