TIME has run out for a mystery millionaire to come forward and claim their prize.
A £1m winning EuroMillions ticket was bought somewhere in Gwynedd and Anglesey before the draw on 2 July this year which won the UK Millionaire Maker prize of £1,000,000.
But the winner has not come forward in time to collect the prize so the money, plus the interest it has earned, has now passed over to help fund National Lottery good causes.
The deadline for the ticketholder to claim their prize was midnight on 29 December.
Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at the National Lottery said: “Unfortunately, I can confirm that the ticketholder did not come forward within the deadline to claim their prize and has now sadly missed out on this substantial amount of money. However, the money will now add to the more than £30m raised each week for National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.”
With all National Lottery draws, winners have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize.
