A CARE worker from Blaenau Ffestiniog has been recognised as one of Europe’s most natural beauties.
Shonie Williams, 19, who works at Gwesty Seren, competed in an international pageant in France, coming in at a highly respectable second place in the ‘Princess’ category.
The Face of Europe and the World event was held at Disneyland Paris last month, with Shonie representing herself as the Face of North West England against dozens of other entrants from across the globe.
The former Ysgol y Moelwyn pupil, who has spent the last year fund-raising more than £1,000 for brain injury charity Headway, was thrilled with her display.
“I’m proud to say I was placed second Princess at my first international competition and I would be honoured to return back next year,” she told the Cambrian News.
“I thoroughly enjoyed my week with everyone and it has been a great experience. I cry when I win and I cry when I don’t, but this is another step to success and I can’t wait to see what 2018 will bring for me.
“I got to meet so many nice girls and we made really good friends! I’m so glad I had this experience.”
Shonie is now in the process of applying for the Miss Wales competition.
