A RETIRED PE teacher from Rhydyfelin has overcome her fears by taking on a zipwire challenge for charity.

Zena Evans ventured to north Wales with her husband Anthony and their three children to take on the Velocity Zipwire challenge to celebrate her and Anthony’s golden wedding anniversary and raise money for a charity very close to her heart.

Zena has always been active and she hasn’t let her Parkinson’s disease diagnosis hold her back.

Thanks to the generosity of her friends and family, Zena has raised over £700 for Parkinson’s UK to date and would be grateful for any further support.
