ABERAERON Bowls Club member Gwawr Harries, of Ciliau Aeron, has won the Intellectual Learning Disability Triples Bowls competition at the National Championships playing with Shaun Thackwray and Ben Wood from Whitchurch Club in Cardiff.

The finals were held at Llandrindod Wells on Thursday, 20 August, the previous rounds having been held at Sophia Gardens Cardiff.

The team was coached by Barrie Jenkins.

Gwawr also went through in the pairs but lost at the semi finals with Ian Keller.
