Although the league season came to an end with Aberystwyth being crowned champions, cricket continues at the Geufron ground for the next fortnight.

As part of the 25th anniversary of the opening of the facility in 1996, two South Wales clubs will be the visitors on 11 and 18 September when Cardiff and then Dinas Powys travel to Ceredigion.

Both clubs will be fielding players who learned their cricket with the Aberystwyth club before moving on to South Wales.

In addition, on 12 September club president Anthony Evans brings a team to play against a Club XI including proven players such as former captains Andy Price and Steff Roberts.

Dylan McPhie, Ben Gakins, Mike Dunner and Vinod Mathews provide the bowling attack and a strong batting line up promises plenty of runs!

All matches are scheduled to start at 1pm and the ground, which hosts well in excess of 100 games every season, will warmly welcome visitors and spectators with refreshments and a bar in attendance.
