Cwpan Coffa Dai ‘Dynamo’ Davies
FELINFACH knocked Costcutter Ceredigion League leaders Lampeter Town out of the Cwpan Coffa Dai ‘Dynamo’ Davies with a 3-2 win in extra-time.
The visitors were missing a few key players, but they opened the scoring when Robert Slawkowski headed home at the near post - but the hosts then levelled matters when Lee Forrester ran onto a pass from Gareth Pierce to score.
Lampeter regained the lead in the second half when substitute Marc Evans, threaded the ball to Slawkowski, who scored with delicate chip, but Felinfach came back and in the dying minutes Joe Jenkins picked up the ball out wide and released Rhys James, whose left-footed strike squeezed in at the near post.
The winner came midway through the first half of extra-time when 17-year old Gareth Pierce, who worked tirelessly thoughout, was in the right place and at the right time to steer the ball home.
